Meet Joshua
Joshua Ebuka Chukwu is a highly motivated and dedicated individual with a passion for excellence. He is presently a PhD. student in Chemistry at the University of Nevada, Reno, on a fully funded scholarship. He also doubles as a Teaching and Research Assistant at the University where he teaches, mentors undergraduate, and conducts research in Organic Synthesis.
Joshua strongly believes that no one should be limited by their socioeconomic background. This motivated him to complete his Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Chemistry at the University of Port Harcourt and a Master's degree in Organic Chemistry at the University of Jos, Jos on a funded scholarship by the African Centre of Excellence for Phytomedicine Research and Development and the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF).
Joshua is passionate about inspiring others with his life and this made him to join the TFN Fellowship in 2019 where he inspired over 45 learners, impacted the school community by attracting a world connect grant to build a modern WASH facility within the school premises. He also founded Child Mentorship Network (CMN), where young people are connected to professionals for mentorship. This started as a BTC but is now a registered organization in Nigeria. In 2023, Joshua pitched the idea of CMN in America at the University of Nevada, Reno and he won the people's choice award.
Upon completion of the Fellowship with TFN, Joshua taught kids in one of the top schools in Enugu, worked as a Chemistry Moderator with Ulesson and as a Manager, Instructional Design with NewGlobe Education before moving to America.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Joshua enjoys traveling, singing and meeting people. Joshua's dedication to his craft, combined with his kind heart and generous spirit, make him a valuable asset to any team or organization. He is a shining example of what can be achieved through hard work, determination, reslience, grit, and a commitment to excellence.
